Live & Learn Cambodia is an international, non-governmental organisation that works on environmental and human rights initiatives throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Live & Learn Cambodia aims to reduce poverty and foster greater understanding and action towards a sustainable future. Live & Learn Cambodia are experienced in building the capacity of women, children, and community-based organisations to improve livelihoods and community development.

Live & Learn Cambodia tackles development challenges by empowering and building communities' capacities to improve their livelihood, health, resilience, and environment with innovative solutions, sustainable and climate-smart techniques, and appropriate technologies. Live & Learn Cambodia works with partners including Assisi Aid Projects and the government to ensure these issues are tackled and the solutions are scaled to more communities.

Live & Learn Cambodia’s current vision is for a sustainable and equitable Cambodia free from poverty, while empowering Cambodians with innovative solutions to achieve a sustainable livelihood and environment. Live & Learn Cambodia builds resilience of local communities by developing their human, social, environmental, and financial capital through innovative solutions, multi-stakeholder platforms and partnerships, in the areas of livelihood, water sanitation and hygiene, and rural energy access.

Live & Learn Cambodia aims to

  • encourage individual and community attitudes, values and actions that are ethical and sustainable
  • encourage networks and partnerships between different stakeholders, to share knowledge, skills, learning experiences and resources with others for the benefit of the physical and human environment
  • promote the integration of the concepts of human rights, environmentalism, humanitarianism, culture, gender equality and peace in all projects and programs, and
  • promote action-based, effective and creative learning models and teaching methodologies.

Assisi Aid Projects and Live & Learn Cambodia have been working together to strengthen women and youth’s participation in community level development since 2010, and mutually ended the partnership in October 2020.  Our last project focused on increasing women’s leadership and engagement in local community development in Kampong Chhnang Province.  Learn more about this project here.
