This year with invaluable support from Sister Stella Edattu and Live & Learn Assisi Aid Projects has extended the very effective community self- help group model into Cambodia, Timor-Leste and the Maldives.
Assisi has partnered with the Rotary Club of Melbourne, supported by the Baker foundation to implement a maternal health project in Timor-Leste. The project’s objective is to reduce the infant and maternal mortality rates as a result of home births. Our implementing partner is the ALOLA Foundation, which was founded in 2001 by the then first lady, Ms Kirsty Sword Gusmao.
