The Cycle of Poverty
The people we work with are poor and need assistance because:
- They are often illiterate and suffer from preventable diseases.
- Moneylenders, employers and others exploit them.
- Women are poorly educated and have limited ability to generate an income.
- They have no network or support to access services generally available to everyone in the community.
Assisi Aid Projects is a member of the Make Poverty History campaign.
